Data handled by the app
QuietScan stores PDF names, timestamps, page order, scanned JPEG page files, settings and generated PDF cache files in the app’s private local storage.
Data collection and transmission
Version 1.0 contains no QuietScan account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK or QuietScan-operated cloud upload. The ML Kit document scanner flow is provided by Google Play services; scanner models, logic and interface may be dynamically downloaded. The optional supporter purchase communicates with Google Play Billing to load product information, complete purchases, acknowledge them and restore ownership.
Optional QuietScan Supporter purchase
QuietScan uses Google Play Billing for an optional one-time supporter purchase. Google Play provides the localized product price and purchase status. The app receives the product identifier, purchase state and purchase token needed to acknowledge and restore the purchase. QuietScan stores a local supporter flag for offline display. Payments, payment-card details, tax handling and refunds are processed by Google Play; QuietScan has no billing server and does not receive payment-card details.
Retention and deletion
Documents remain until you delete them or uninstall QuietScan. When you delete a PDF, QuietScan attempts to remove its project folder, scanned pages and all known generated export caches before removing the item from the database. Android backup is disabled. QuietScan does not claim forensic secure erasure from physical storage.
Sharing
QuietScan shares a generated PDF only after you initiate an Android share action and choose another app or destination. That destination’s privacy practices then apply.
Children
QuietScan is a general productivity tool and is not directed specifically to children.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the app adds analytics, OCR services, cloud functionality or other data-handling features.
